India, Aug. 18 -- US Secretary General Marco Rubio has said his nation keeps an eye on what is happening between India and Pakistan every single day, once again claiming the role played by the President Donald Trump-led administration in reaching a ceasefire in May.

Speaking to a news channel, Rubio said the ceasefire can fall apart very quickly.

India has maintained that the conflict with Pakistan ended in May after Islamabad sought a ceasefire after suffering heavy damage.

Speaking to NBC News, Rubio said: "One of the complications of ceasefires is maintaining them, which is very difficult."

"Every single day, we are keeping an eye on what is happening between Pakistan and India," he said.
