India, Aug. 9 -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected US President Donald Trump's 15-point plan for Gaza, saying Israel will not withdraw its forces from the territory until Hamas is "genuinely" disarmed.

Last month, Trump's Board of Peace reached an agreement calling for the "complete disarmament" of Hamas and other armed groups operating in Gaza.

Speaking at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu said Israel had rejected the proposed framework.

"Israel rejects the 15-point document," he said.

"The IDF will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is disarmed. And when I say Hamas must be disarmed, I mean the heavy weapons, the less-heavy weapons, all weapons. And we are talking about genuine disarmament...
