India, Oct. 21 -- The niece of RG Kar doctor rape and murder case, Sanjay Roy, was found dead inside the wardrobe in her Alipore residence in Kolkata on Sunday.

Her body was found hanging from a noose inside the wardrobe.

According to the preliminary post-mortem report, she died due to hanging, reported News 18.

Police told The Telegraph, the girl was alone in her home when the incident occurred.

Her father was in his office, and her mother had stepped out for Diwali shopping, said the police.

No suicide note was recovered from the house.
