India, Sept. 5 -- BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul has suffered a brain stroke, and she is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kolkata, media reports said.

Sources told Ei Samay newspaper that she was rushed to a hospital after she fell ill on Thursday night.

Hospital sources told the newspaper that her CT scan showed that she has slight ischemia.

The doctors have reportedly kept her under observation for the next 72 hours.

Her condition is said to be stable.
