India, July 20 -- Union Minister JP Nadda on Monday met representatives of protesters in New Delhi and urged them to call off their ongoing sit-in and cooperate with the administration in restoring normalcy.

Sharing images of his meeting with members of the satirical political group Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which is spearheading the protest in the national capital, Nadda wrote on X: "This morning, for the first time, a proposal came from the protesters to hold talks with the government, and our discussions have been ongoing since 11:50 AM."

He said the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere.

"An initial verbal discussion was held in detail with their delegation, and they submitted a written petition to me around 4 PM," Nadda said...
