India, May 17 -- A woman in rural Jodhpur allegedly died by suicide in March 2026 after years of gang-rape, blackmail, and extortion, according to a complaint filed by her younger sister.

The complaint states that the victim was allegedly trapped by an e-Mitra operator who recorded obscene videos of her and used them for coercion, along with multiple other accused named in the FIR.

The family alleges that despite repeated complaints, police action was slow and ineffective.
