Washington DC/IBNS, Sept. 18 -- Jimmy Kimmel's late-night talk show has been suspended "indefinitely" by Walt Disney-owned ABC after the popular host made a controversial remark on Charlie Kirk, a Conservative activist and US President Donald Trump's loyalist, who was shot dead at a public event.

Kimmel is known for his sharp humor, celebrity interviews, and comedic sketches at the show Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

As it was expected, Trump called ABC's decision to pull down the show "Great news for America."

Charlie was last week shot dead during his address at the Utah Valley University in Orem.

A single gunshot was fired and it struck Charlie on his neck when he was addressing the students at the university.
