Chennai/IBNS, Aug. 19 -- Actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay's film Jana Nayagan is set to premiere on ZEE5 on August 21, the OTT platform announced on social media.

Jana Nayagan was released in theatres on July 23 following multiple delays.

The film was initially scheduled for release on January 9 but ran into certification issues after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) raised objections to certain scenes that could potentially hurt public sentiments.

The film eventually hit theatres following multiple court proceedings.

Jana Nayagan is Vijay's 69th and final film, directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions.
