India, Oct. 12 -- An Israeli man, who survived the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023 and saw his partner being killed in front of his eyes on the deadly day, was found dead near Tel Aviv city on Friday.

The deceased person was identified as Roei Shalev.

Hours before his body was recovered, he had written on Instagram, as quoted by BBC: "I just want this suffering to end. I'm alive, but inside everything is dead."

Roei Shalev's mother had taken her own life just two weeks after the attack.

Meanwhile, Shalev died just three days after Israel marked the second anniversary of the October 7 attack that had left 1200 people dead.

His body was recovered from a burning car on a highway exit near Netanya on Friday.
