India, July 17 -- Iran on Friday claimed it had launched drone strikes targeting US-allied countries, including Kuwait and Bahrain, as the United States continued its sixth consecutive day of military operations against the Islamic Republic, according to the state-run IRNA news agency.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said it had also struck a US special operations command centre in Syria, American weapons depots and missile launchers in Kuwait, and radar installations in Oman, IRNA reported.

The claims could not be independently verified.

The death toll from attacks on bridges in Iran's southern Bandar Khamir rose to seven, the IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency reported on Thursday, according to Iran International.
