India, April 22 -- Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz escalated on Wednesday after Iran's Revolutionary Guard targeted multiple vessels, including one bound for India, raising fresh concerns over the fragile US-Iran ceasefire, media reports said.

Three ships targeted, two seized by Iran

According to reports, three container ships were attacked while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

The vessels were identified as Liberia-flagged Epaminondas and Panama-flagged MSC Francesca and Euphoria.

The third vessel, Euphoria, was intercepted but not captured.
