Mumbai/IBNS, Dec. 19 -- ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company (AMC) made a strong market debut on Friday, with its shares listing at a nearly 20% premium over the initial public offer (IPO) price, media reports said.
The company's Rs.10,600-crore IPO was subscribed nearly 39 times, reflecting robust investor demand across categories.
The IPO, which was entirely an offer-for-sale (OFS), was priced in the range of Rs.2,061-Rs.2,165 per share. No fresh capital was raised through the issue.
While the listing was strong, ICICI Prudential AMC fell short of the higher end of market expectations, which had pegged a listing premium of 17-25%.
