IndiGo to launch direct Gaya-Bangkok flights, boosting Buddhist tourism in Bihar
India, May 25 -- Bihar is set to receive a major tourism and connectivity boost after the state cabinet approved a proposal allowing IndiGo to operate direct international flights between Gaya and Bangkok for the next 12 months.
The proposal was cleared during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday.
Officials believe the move will significantly improve international air connectivity and make travel easier for Buddhist pilgrims and tourists visiting the state.
