India, July 12 -- An Indian woman's seven-day trip to Sri Lanka has gone viral after she shared an Instagram post praising the island nation for its cleanliness, well-maintained roads, civic sense and the kindness of its people.

Ruth Dsouza Prabhu said her visit left her "highly impressed" by Sri Lanka's cleanliness, cultural pride and the way its citizens live in harmony despite the country's economic challenges.

One of the aspects that stood out to her was the cleanliness of the beaches.

According to Ruth, she did not come across a single piece of litter or plastic waste during her visit.

She was equally impressed by the country's road infrastructure.
