Indian tourists can now pay in Cambodia using UPI - Here's how it works
India, June 2 -- NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), the international arm of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), in partnership with ACLEDA Bank Plc., has announced the launch of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) acceptance in Cambodia through KHQR, the country's national QR code system.
The initiative was formally launched at an event in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, attended by Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), along with representatives from the Reserve Bank of India.
The rollout marks the first phase of a cross-border QR payment linkage between India and Cambodia, enabling seamless digital transactions between the two countries.
