India, Aug. 20 -- A 9-year-old Indian-origin student was attacked by a teen when he was playing in Ireland, recording one more racial targeting incident in the European nation.

The incident reportedly occurred in Cork County when the student was attacked with stones.

The injured minor child was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Garde (Ireland Police) have identified the teenager who committed the attack, reported NDTV.

According to reports, the attacker is known for creating trouble in the area.

An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
