India's electronics boom gets a big push: MeitY approves 31 projects worth Rs 6,844 crore
India, Aug. 18 -- The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has approved 31 additional proposals under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), involving a projected investment of Rs 6,844 crore.
The approvals come in continuation of the 75 applications involving an investment of Rs 61,671 crore announced earlier.
The approval letters were handed over at an event in New Delhi organised in collaboration with the Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA).
