India, Feb. 20 -- India participated as an observer in U.S. President Donald Trump's Board of Peace meeting on Gaza held in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, according to media reports.

As per the official attendee list released by the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace, India was represented at the high-level gathering by Namgya Khampa, Charge d'affaires at the Indian Embassy in Washington, DC, ABP News reported.

Reports indicate that India has not formally signed on to the Board of Peace.

Last week, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said during a press briefing, "We have received an invitation from the US side to join the Board of Peace. We are currently examining the proposal."
