India advises nationals to leave Iran amid escalating Middle-East tensions
India, June 8 -- India on Monday issued a fresh advisory urging its nationals currently in Iran to avoid all non-essential travel and to leave the country by available means of transport, as tensions between Iran and Israel escalate.
The Indian Embassy in Iran, in its advisory, reiterated its earlier warning against travel to the country. It also advised Indian nationals presently in Iran to exit at the earliest opportunity.
"In view of the latest developments in the region, the Embassy reiterates its earlier advice to all Indian nationals to avoid any travel to Iran. Indian nationals presently in Iran are also advised to exit the country by available means of transport," the statement said.
