"ELIMINATED, Aug. 20 -- The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday said it killed Hamas terrorist Muhammad Naif Abu Shamala, who had infiltrated the military's Ma'aras post on October 7, 2023.

"Throughout the war, he advanced numerous terror attacks against IDF troops and Israel," the statement said.

The IDF on Tuesday announced the killing of a senior Hamas terrorist who participated in the abduction of Yarden Bibas on October 7 from Kibbutz Nir Oz.

The force identified the terrorist as Jihad Kamal Salem Najjar.
