India, Aug. 26 -- Huawei and HP Inc. have signed a multiyear global patent cross-licensing agreement, which includes a licence for HP Inc. to use certain Huawei Wi-Fi patents.

In a statement, Huawei said the agreement reflects the two companies' cooperation in the field of intellectual property licensing while recognising Huawei's innovation capabilities and technological strength, as well as HP's position as a global leader in computers and peripheral equipment.

"Huawei is pleased to reach this patent cross-licensing agreement with HP Inc.," said Alan Fan, Huawei's Chief Intellectual Property Officer.
