India, July 27 -- Former Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan received a rousing welcome from BJP and NDA MPs when he arrived at Parliament on Monday, two days after stepping down following weeks of nationwide protests over the NEET paper leak controversy.

The show of support came as the ruling alliance rallied behind the senior Odisha leader, projecting his resignation as an act of political accountability rather than a setback.

As Pradhan stepped out of his vehicle at the Parliament House complex, BJP MPs surrounded him, chanting "Dharmendra Pradhan zindabad".
