India, June 12 -- Hitachi Energy, a global leader in electrification, has announced an investment of approximately Rs.2,000 crore to establish a new Large Power Transformer (LPT) manufacturing facility in Karjan, Vadodara, Gujarat.

The project is expected to generate more than 1,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, contributing to local economic development and skill enhancement in the region.

The investment follows a recent announcement made by Hitachi Energy India Limited during its FY26 Q4 results and reflects the company's continued expansion of its manufacturing footprint in India.
