India, July 12 -- An Indian-American senior technology executive at Google was allegedly shot dead by her husband at their home in the US state of Georgia, while their 23-year-old son was also injured in what police have described as a domestic violence incident, media reports said.

The accused, Kirk B. Wrzesien, 56, was arrested on Tuesday night at the family's residence in Smyrna, Cobb County, near Atlanta.

Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting shortly before 8 pm local time.

When officers reportedly arrived at the residence, they found Sheetal Wrzesien, 57, inside the home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She later succumbed to her injuries.
