India, Aug. 15 -- India celebrated Independence Day on Friday, and global leaders joined to wish the country on the occasion.
French President Emmanuel Macron wished India and said he is looking forward to enhancing the strategic partnership towards 2047 and beyond.
Macron wrote on X: "Warm congratulations to the people of India on your 79th Independence Day!" "I fondly recall welcoming my friend @NarendraModi to France in February, and look forward to deepening our strategic partnership towards 2047 and beyond," he said.
