Davos/IBNS, Jan. 22 -- Eight Islamic nations, including key Arab and Muslim-majority countries, have formally agreed to join US President Donald Trump's proposed "Board of Peace," signalling coordinated backing for an international framework aimed at ending the Gaza conflict.
In a joint statement released on Wednesday, the foreign ministers of Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates confirmed their acceptance of Trump's invitation to participate in the initiative.
The ministers said their governments had collectively decided to join the Board and would complete all required legal and procedural steps to formalise their participation.
