From folk art to portraits: Manikana Upadhyay unveils 29-work solo exhibition in Kolkata
Kolkata/IBNS, Aug. 12 -- Artist Manikana Upadhyay on Tuesday opened her latest solo exhibition in Kolkata, showcasing 29 artworks that reflect her evolution from folk-inspired art to a more diverse artistic style.
Upadhyay began her artistic journey by studying traditional folk art and has worked professionally for 16 years. She said her early training in folk forms gradually helped her develop an individual style.

The exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of artists Subrata Gangopadhyay, Samir Aich and Tapas Konar.
