Fortuner torched, BJP leaders burnt alive: Sand mining feud ends in triple murder in Chhattisgarh
Raipur/IBNS, June 18 -- Three people, including two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, were killed after a long-running dispute over sand mining allegedly spiralled into a deadly clash in Chhattisgarh's Koriya district, media reports said.
The incident took place in Naugain village under the jurisdiction of Sonhat Police Station.
The vehicle was allegedly doused with petrol and set on fire, leaving the occupants trapped inside.
After the flames were extinguished, three bodies were recovered from the charred vehicle.
The deceased include former Janpad Panchayat President Bharat Singh, popularly known as Lalla Singh, along with two others. Reports said two of the victims were associated with the BJP.
