India, Aug. 27 -- Australian cricket legend Michael Clarke, under whose leadership the national team won the 2015 World Cup, on Tuesday said he recently underwent surgery to remove skin cancer from his nose.

He urged his fans to remain vigilant about their health.

"Skin cancer is real! Especially in . Another one cut out of my nose today," Clarke wrote on Instagram

Along with his post, he also shared an image of himself adter undergoing the surgery.

He further said: "A friendly reminder to get your skin checked. Prevention is better than cure but in my case, regular check ups and early detection is key. So grateful that @drbishsoliman_ got it early."
