India, April 17 -- More than 1.75 lakh pilgrims from India are set to embark on the sacred Hajj pilgrimage as the first batch departs on April 18, 2026, marking the beginning of this year's annual journey to Saudi Arabia.

According to an official statement, a total of 1,75,025 pilgrims will undertake the pilgrimage from multiple embarkation points across the country.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju extended his best wishes to all pilgrims and reaffirmed the government's commitment to ensuring a smooth, safe, and comfortable Hajj experience.
