Mumbai/IBNS, Sept. 9 -- Mumbai's firebrand food safety czar Tukaram Mundhe has once again sent a powerful message to the city's food industry: no kitchen, however prominent, is beyond scrutiny.
This time, his Maharashtra FDA has turned its spotlight on ISKCON's Hare Krishna Land in Juhu, suspending the licences of three food establishments over what officials described as serious violations of food safety and hygiene norms.
The action was taken as part of a crackdown on eateries over compliance with food safety norms.
His wider crackdown has involved inspections and action against restaurants, food suppliers and other establishments for alleged food-safety violations.
