New Delhi, Oct. 15 -- Usage of the FASTag annual pass has surged, crossing 25 lakh users within two months of its launch, according to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
The pass has recorded about 5.67 crore transactions across the country, reflecting a strong response from highway commuters.
The pass eliminates the need for frequent recharges by allowing one-time payment of Rs.3,000, which covers one year of travel or up to 200 toll plaza crossings.
The pass, however, is non-transferable and applicable only on National Highways and National Expressways.
For State Highways and parking facilities managed by state authorities or local bodies, payments continue to be deducted from the linked FASTag wallet balance.
