New Delhi/IBNS, Aug. 6 -- The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has imposed penalties on nine digital platforms, including Zepto, BookMyShow and IndiGo, for using "dark patterns"-deceptive design techniques that manipulate users into making choices they might not otherwise make.

The government has also informed the Rajya Sabha about the penal action taken against the platforms.
