India, April 22 -- US President Donald Trump on Tuesday issued a stark warning that the United States could launch military strikes on Iran if ongoing negotiations fail, saying the American military is "raring to go" for war.

"I expect to be bombing because I think that's a better attitude to go in with. But we're ready to go," Trump said, signalling a hardline stance ahead of the ceasefire deadline.

The US President said American forces are fully stocked and prepared for any escalation. "We're loaded up. we have so much ammo, so much of everything," he told CNBC, adding that the military has used the pause in fighting to restock.
