India, March 26 -- US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran is "begging" for a deal to end the ongoing conflict, even as Tehran publicly maintains it is only reviewing Washington's proposal.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Iran had been "militarily obliterated" and had "zero chance of a comeback," while accusing its negotiators of not being serious.

"The Iranian negotiators are very different and 'strange.' They are begging us to make a deal. and yet they publicly state that they are only looking at our proposal. WRONG!!!" Trump wrote, warning that Tehran must act quickly "before it is too late."
