Hyderabad/IBNS, Feb. 14 -- Tamil superstar Dhanush has landed in legal trouble after a production house issued a legal notice accusing him of causing prolonged delays in a film project pending since 2016, media reports said.

According to the notice, Dhanush was initially signed for a project titled Naan Rudran in 2016 but later opted out. The production house claimed that the actor subsequently promised to act in and direct another film for the same banner as compensation.

Based on that assurance, Thenandal Films said it invested approximately Rs. 20 crore in advance payments and pre-production work, including remuneration for actors Nagarjuna and SJ Suryah, who were expected to be part of the project.
