New Delhi/IBNS, Aug. 14 -- The Delhi High Court, Indira Gandhi International Airport and several other locations in the national capital received bomb threats on Friday, a day ahead of India's 80th Independence Day.

The threats were issued through an email received at around 2:11 am.

Email threatens explosions across Delhi

The email threatened to carry out a bomb blast at the Delhi High Court on Saturday afternoon, followed by explosions at district courts an hour later.

The email alleged that Delhi's courts only hear cases against Sikhs.

Several locations, transport services threatened

Threats were also issued against the Delhi Metro and trains bound for Ambala.

No suspicious object found so far
