New Delhi/IBNS, Sept. 18 -- In a horrific incident, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by four people, including three juveniles, before being stabbed to death and her body dumped in an open field in Delhi, media reports said.

The incident has once again raised questions over women's safety in the national capital.

Police said the body had decomposed to such an extent that the victim's gender could not initially be ascertained.

Parts of the body had been eaten by stray dogs, while one of her hands was found severed from the body, police said.

The adult accused has been identified as Shivam alias Sudama alias Chuchu, a resident of Khadda Colony.

All the accused are now in police custody.
