Delhi cop seen slapping woman protester removed from Jantar Mantar after viral outrage
New Delhi/IBNS, July 23 -- A senior male Delhi Police officer who was seen slapping a woman protester during the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) Parliament March on July 20 has been removed from duty at the protest site, Jantar Mantar, after videos of the incident went viral on social media, NDTV reported.
Sandeep Lamba, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East District), was caught in multiple videos allegedly slapping a woman during the police crackdown on protesters on the streets of Delhi.
Police complaint filed
Former Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Saket Gokhale has filed a police complaint against Lamba at the Parliament Street Police Station, seeking registration of an FIR.
