India, Aug. 1 -- India delivered an impressive performance at the Commonwealth Games on Saturday, securing multiple medals across various disciplines and strengthening its position in the medals table.

Boxers Preeti Pawar and Jaismine Lamboria led India's charge by clinching a gold medal each, providing a significant boost to the country's medal tally.

Preeti defeated Canada's Scarlett Savannah Delgado in the women's 54kg final to claim India's first boxing gold medal of the ongoing edition of the Games.
