India, Sept. 19 -- Mumbai's iconic Olympia Coffee House has had its licence suspended after a Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspection uncovered a series of serious food safety and hygiene violations at the 108-year-old Colaba establishment.

The action followed a consumer complaint. During the inspection, FDA officials reportedly found a urinal inside the food storage area, along with an infestation of cockroaches and flies.

The licence has been suspended until further notice.
