India, Oct. 7 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday searched the camp office of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in Chandigarh as part of a corruption probe involving his Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Rajbir Singh Ghuman, and others.

The searches were carried out a day after the Punjab and Haryana High Court directed the CBI to register a case and investigate allegations of corruption linked to people associated with the Chief Minister's Office.

The Punjab government has challenged the High Court order in the Supreme Court.

The CBI conducted coordinated searches at eight locations across Chandigarh, Mohali, Gurdaspur, Ludhiana, Patiala, Sangrur and Jalandhar.
