India, Oct. 19 -- Two people, including a prominent businessman, have been arrested after liquor cans were found in a vehicle outside a Surat hotel where a birthday party was being held in violation of Gujarat's prohibition laws.

NDTV, quoting sources, said the celebration took place at KS Avtaar Hotel in Althan on Thursday to mark the birthday of businessman Sameer Shah.

Police reached the spot after receiving a tip-off. When officers tried to record a video of the group drinking, the teenager allegedly misbehaved and assaulted police personnel.

A viral video shows him shoving and arguing with officers before being restrained.
