Kolkata/IBNS, March 14 -- A clash between supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Trinamool Congress broke out in North Kolkata's Girish Park on Saturday, barely an hour before a mega rally by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the city.

The clash, which reportedly left several people injured on both sides, took place near the residence of West Bengal minister and TMC leader Shashi Panja.

TMC supporters alleged that BJP supporters travelling in buses hurled stones at Panja's residence.

Speaking to the media, Panja claimed she was also injured during the incident.

BJP supporters, however, countered the claim, alleging that TMC supporters led by Panja's daughter and TMC councillor Puja Panja attacked them, leaving several seriousl...
