New Delhi/IBNS, Aug. 17 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced a reshuffled national team, nearly seven months after Nitin Nabin took charge as the party's 12th national president.

The new line-up includes several prominent leaders, with former Union minister Smriti Irani returning to a key organisational role as one of the BJP's eight national general secretaries.

Senior leader Ram Madhav, who previously served as a national general secretary, has been appointed a national vice-president.

Former Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb has also been named a national general secretary.

Union minister Piyush Goyal has been appointed treasurer, a position he previously held between 2010 and 2014.
