India, March 27 -- The Government of Japan has committed an Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan of JPY 275.858 billion (approximately Rs.16,420 crore) to India for four major development projects spanning urban transport, healthcare, and agriculture across Punjab, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.

The funding will support key infrastructure and development initiatives, including:

Mumbai Metro Line 11 Project (I) (JPY 92.400 billion), designed to enhance urban transport infrastructure in Mumbai, ease traffic congestion, and contribute to sustainable urban development.
