India, Aug. 7 -- Bengaluru has emerged as the biggest flashpoint in Karnataka's ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with nearly half of the city's voters being flagged under the ASDDO (Absent, Shifted, Duplicate, Dead and Others) category during the ongoing house-to-house verification exercise.

Fresh data released by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) shows that Bengaluru's urban districts account for the highest concentration of flagged electors in the state, significantly exceeding Karnataka's overall average.

Nearly half of Bengaluru's voters flagged

According to the data, Bengaluru Urban district has 40.21 lakh electors, of whom only 55.39 per cent have had their enumeration forms successfully digitised.
