India, July 1 -- A daycare centre operating inside the HAL campus of IT firm Capgemini in Bengaluru has come under serious scrutiny after allegations of severe abuse involving children aged between two and three years.

According to complaints, toddlers were subjected to inhuman punishment methods, including being forced to sit inside the drum of a front-loading washing machine, having water sprayed into their mouths using a toilet jet spray, and being locked inside bathrooms when they cried.

Case filed against five caregivers

Police have registered a case against five women caregivers employed at the daycare facility following the allegations.
