India, Aug. 15 -- A suspected cylinder blast in Bengaluru's Adugodi left a child dead and nine others injured on Friday, media reports said.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh was quoted as saying by India Today, "Around 7-8 houses are damaged. Some other 7-8 houses are partially damaged. Treatment is ongoing in five different hospitals. The Bomb Detection Team, Fire team, SDRF, Forensic Team, and local police are working to remove debris and ensure nobody else is trapped."

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the spot of the blast and announced that the government will bear the cost of treatment of those injured in the blast.
