Kolkata/IBNS, May 4 -- Staring at a possible exit from power, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Monday alleged foul play by the Election Commission of India (ECI), urging party workers to remain vigilant even as trends point to a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) surge in the state.
According to the latest trends, the BJP is leading in over 190 seats, while the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is trailing below the 100 mark.
In key contests, Mamata Banerjee is leading from Bhabanipur against Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, who, however, is maintaining a comfortable lead in Nandigram.
